I’m a former bookseller and bibliophile who writes tours about Paris, my adoptive city. I grew up in London surrounded by history. The Victorians, the Tudors The Second World War all seemed vividly present in the streets and architecture of London. When I moved to Paris in 2011, I sought to find the same connection in the boulevards and manicured parks of Paris. I quickly realised that the well-ordered Haussmannian city hid all sorts of secrets and layers that were just waiting to be uncovered.

I design my walks so we see fewer tourists and more of real Parisian life, sometimes even surprising long term residents!

Every day in Paris we walk through the streets where some of history’s most interesting people spent their days remaking the world. It is my privilege to show you the city hidden in plain sight.
